About EMS District 9
Vermont EMS District 9 is made up of services within 16 towns in Eastern half of Vermont bordering the Connecticut river in the middle of the state. In addition, several NH based transport services are dual licensed in Vermont through District 9 as many provide transport services to border towns within VT. The services within District 9 are comprised of both transport and non-transport services ranging in levels from EMR to Paramedic.
The purpose of EMS District 9 is to coordinate the license review, medical direction and local protocols for its member agencies. In addition, we offer district wide training throughout the year including EMR, EMT, AEMT courses and continuing education. EMS District 9 is governed by a board of directors composed of a representative of each of the ambulance services and first responder services operating with the district and the District's Medical Advisor.
